Our goal is to change the world one child, one community at a time. By focusing on serving the children in our community, we hope to make our community a better place to live. Here is a list of recent projects that we are very proud of.

Adopt a School

The Cleves Three Rivers Kiwanis Club presents STUDENT OF THE MONTH AWARDS at Charles T. Young Elementary School in Cleves throughout the school year. The teachers nominate students who have excelled or shown improvement in their class work or behavior. Two Kiwanis members go from class room to class room every month presenting certificates to the students who have been chosen Student of the Month.

Model Airplane Show for the Aktion Club

Every year as part of the annual picnic with the Aktion Club we sponsor, we invite model airplane owners to come showcase their airplanes. The Aktion Club members get to watch as the airplane owners create a show for them. Then they actually get to "fly" them (they use an inoperative controller while the model owners stand behind them with the real controller). The smile on their faces and the delight in their voices makes the whole event so worthwhile. Join us for this wonderful event. All details on our event calendar.

• Make a Difference Day – Provide workers to clean up yards of Senior Citizens and disabled people in the community
• Terrific Kids – a student recognition program at C. T. Young School
• Raise funds for the Playground Project at Miami Heights School.
• Community Christmas Giving Tree – provides gifts to children whose parents cannot afford to purchase gifts at Christmas. This last Christmas more than 1000 gifts were delivered to 667 children and seniors.
• Sponsoring the Builders Club at Three Rivers Middle School and the Key Club at Taylor High School. These Kiwanis sponsored clubs provide students an organization dedicated to service.
• Support for BMF Pediatric Clinic – provide funds for the clinic to purchase off budget items not allowed by Medicaid for the children patients. Most recently a computer was purchased that will track the child immunization records of medically indigent children who are in many cases very transient and move to different parts of the country. These records will follow the children no matter where they are living.
• Local High School basketball coach has a summer camp and we provide the shirts for the players.
• Provided robes for the Taylor High Chorus.
• Help the Taylor High School Athletic Department purchase equipment and provide funds to offset other expenses.
• Provide funds for students going to various leadership camps such as Boys/Girls State, Key Leader programs and Key Club Convention.
• Support of BLOC Ministries youth club at the old Cleves U. M. C., providing a safe place for kids to go for activities, guidance and counseling.
• Several thousands of dollars in annual scholarships awarded to deserving Taylor High graduates.
• Active and financial support for two local Kiwanis 501-c3 foundations providing safety counseling and mental health intervention for young children.
• Financial and hands-on leadership for a Kiwanis club for adults with mental and physical handicaps in western Hamilton County. (Aktion Club of Western Cincinnati).

The funds are raised in the community by the efforts of our members working our various projects which include:

• Football concessions at Taylor Football games
• Pancake Breakfast in December
• Selling Entertainment books
• And our major fundraiser:
  The Pre-Spring Fling held each year at The Woodlands Banquet facility.
